...depends on what you're recording.

When you ask a question like that, you have to frame it in a certain context. For some applications, one mic's "color" might be better than another....

Sometimes, an SM57 is a better choice than a Neumann U47.

Personally I prefer the at4047 for my vocals, but I'm asking the question for others to answer relating to their usage of the mics.
More specifically, if they have used one of those mics before, if so for what purpose, and why did they choose one of those mics over another; or did they prefer anything else

I have a 3060 and it's a very unusual microphone. There are some things where is sounds very affected, and others where it's brilliant.

If you are choosing just one LDC, I think I would prefer the 4047. However if you have one LDC already, the 3060 is a very different flavor.
