You do have your cd's in the local stores on consignment right?

Did you get at least 5 copies in any and every store you could find in your area? If so you should make the rounds in your spare time and sell the shit out of em while you are there. Sell to anybody... Everybody.... Cut throat tatics if it takes it.

Since ya'll are working on a new project then you should have have plenty of material for a mix CDR group promo. Take up a collection for the squad. Get a cheap 100 pack of cdr's (or 2)... Grab some tight songs off the cd, remix some old shit with some new beats, bust a couple of freestyle joints and interlude type skits, then drop a couple new joints on there from the new shit and put that shit out as a promo dis (cut everything short so cats feel they are missing something). Lots of name of the group calling and shout outs to anybody familiar you know, web site plugging and just letting whoever that grabs the free joints get familiar with the group. I can almost gaurantee you should make that money back on sells of the cd. Cheap cdr''s, a pack of AVERY 8124 (i think) adress labels, 2 packs of Office Depot cd sleeves... At the most 50 bones... Ask for any spare displays (at the store... they got em) and prop these up at your favorite (rap friendly) record stores. You make some fans and maybe get some more sells. More product for ya... Be sure to give the downest cats behind the counters a copy and shoot the shit wit em. You want em to push your shit. Average cat see's so much shit they gotta be able to identify artist mentality with the product to give up the support properly. Local consignment cats are for the most known to be bums on the promotion side. Don't be that. Those who aren't slouchy usually do good. SEE DAVID BANNER.

We definitely have gone to every music store we could and got placement in two stores. They placed them but didn't want us pushing them in the store. It came down to them wanting a little cash on the side to promote us.

The other store dissed us; after we got the CDs in there, they said they were getting complaints from others about our CD being in there........yeah right!

Cool! I talked to the fellas and we are going to try to go sometime in March. That's a Hella bus ride from the ATL, but shit needs to happen.

..but how do you really feel? :D

That's cool, I really think you will like some of the new stuff we are working on. I agree that the music you hear today is pretty canned, maybe we are guilty of trying to fit into the same mold as others, but I didn't think we were run of the mill. I posted songs that were more mainstream in sound, there are other songs on this CD that are more creative.

I feel that you guys could make it with the right promotion--but that I wouldn't buy a cd because it'd be a waste knowing I could just turn on the radio and hear some ludacris and outkast.

Slum to da bone, southern hustler, tip me and here to stay are the best ones there: as good as plenty of comercial shit I've heard.

Lazi - Man...I've been trying to get some of the new stuff up, but I've been busier than a one-legged man in an ass kickin contest...no rest fo da po!

I checked out your latest.......you still da man!!

I gotta say

(this said with m.o.p. 'how about some hardcore' playin in the background)

the problem with hip-hop iis these days is everyone is to concerned with having to fuking make money.....and no i by no means one of those rich boy backpackers that can afford to say that. but if everyone of these so called gangstas were gangstas they'ld have enuff money to not have to bend over for all these fukin a & r's and give em wat they want.

u want cunts to like ur shit, be your self do music u like not wat u think cunts will like, cos we just finished pressing up like a 12" and cunts u thought would like a certain track hated the shit and loved another track......u can never guess wat ppl like.

bring back that old hardcore shit!!!!

even the hardcore shit these days sounds watered the fuck down

Judge - I hear you!! I think when all of us started making music, it was because we loved the music we were creating, afterwhile, everyone started asking why you don't sell your music. Of course we say "Nah, I just like making music", but then you see people like those dumb ass guys you went to high school with getting deals with little or no skills and you think Damn! Maybe I can too....so here we sit.

Although we try to market music with broad appeal, we still make music we like and if we get the chance, maybe we can share that kind too!

show us the music u like

not that shit u think we'll like......i'm from down under so my tast mite be a little diffrent but i'm not liking hardly any of this shit thats commin out these days.....the last albums i liked were from cormega......i'm loving the new kool g rap.....some more street shit nun of that bulshit italian mafia shit he was on, on roots of evil.

shit i cant think of anything else beside the Non-Phixion album which i was bumbing more then 2 tracks 2......anyone else.

i think the problem is all the old guys are sick of seeing wack cunt like nelly makin dosh, and then end up stooping 2 there level and the young cunts are thinkin they have to make some wack ja tool shit.

bring back 93!!!!!

Judge - Sho ya right! It sounds like you would really like some of the underground music my brother sends me from LA. In today's world you can't say what you think and expect a record company to pick you up. Since hip hop has spread across all boundaries and most record sales are to suburban, middle class, kids, the real ole school rap is considered dangerous, although you can hear the same lyrics in some heavy metal bands.

Commercial success has watered down the lyrics and styles of what you get to hear on the radio, but believe you me, it aint dead. I'll get my brother to send me some new shit and I'll post it as soon as I get it.

Here's a good example of what I'm talking about. My guys did a concert at a public park, just before they were to go on, a woman got on the mic and started talking about how they say no to drugs, alcohol, violence, degrading women, and the gangster lifestyle  The fellas had to rewrite the lyrics to two songs before we went on because our most popular song starts "smoke em up, drink em up, inhale, exhale".

bro

we got booted off stage in a public park 7 minutes into our set....i refuse to water the shit down!!!

but i know wat u mean

aye any of u's guys been catchin the source with the benzino and fukin eminem?

watta fukin joke
