THIS IS THE MIDI MPC CAT. I HAVE SONAR 1.01 AND I THINK YOU GAVE ME DIRECTIONS FOR ANOTHER VER. I ALSO HAVE A PROTEUS 1000 HOOKED TO MY MPC THROUGH THE OUT B (MY BAD I DID'NT SAY ALL THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE) IF YOU HAVE TIME HOLLA BACK AT ME (GOOD LOOKIN IN THE FIRST PLACE) PEACE

You are going to have to open one of your MIDI IN's (A or B).

I am using Sonar Producers Editon 3.1.1. The setup of MTC MASTER DEVICE should be the same for Sonar 1.0 and Sonar 3.1.1.

OK. You are correct there is a difference.

Sonar 1 doesn't offer Midi Time Code [MTC].

It only offers Midi Sync [MIDI CLOCK] and Midi Machine Control [MMC]

Whereas, Sonar 3 offers ALL three. Midi Clock, MTC, and MMC

Ok. Now that we are armed with this info you should do this....

OPTIONS>PROJECT OPTIONS>MIDI OUT tab>SEND MIDI SYNC>check mark TRANSMIT MIDI START/CONTINUE/STOP/CLOCK

You will also need to tell the MPC to RECEIVE MIDI CLOCK (instead of MTC).
