Im going to start recording my own music with my band and was looking for advise. We own all the concert equipment including a huge mixer table. is there any way to hook up his mixer table to his computer so we can record our music on the computer. What software program do you recomend i use to record my music with. (any free downloads we are all poor)

to start, what's the computer's power? second, do you have mics left over from playing live to use to record? third, what quality are you looking for?
