Hello,

I'm a CEP user, and my question is with regards to applying effects to a track. I'll give you an example: I have just sang & recorded a mono vocal track (track 1). In the track window under
the "fx1" button, I have added a realtime reverb to my voice.
This is where I get confused, under my "rack setup" I highlight the reverb I just added, & select properties. My dryout, is set at
0%, & my reverb is set at 100%, by default I assume. I have been
experimenting with all sorts of settings, but I get confused as to
what blend I'm supposed to give the dryout & reverb. I notice that
the effect itself has an internal mixing section of original signal (dry) & reverb(wet). What is a suitable combination for the above mentioned. I would sure appreciate the feedback. I will also search for previous posts.

Thank you very much

Unfortunately, the answer you seek will be subjective for EVERY track you ever effect, with reverb or any of the rest.

I'd suggest starting with the Wet at 0% and the dry at 100%. Slowly add the Wet until you have almost enough, then pull down your dry until its perfect. The Wet/Dry in the reverb is essentially the same thing as it is in the mixer, but all effects don't have a wet/dry control built in, so CEP puts one in all the potential effects racks

Hello Chrisjob,

Thank you for your reply.
I appreciate your valuable comments which I have already found to be extremely helpful. My next barrier, I must conquer is to become efficient in the art of "de-essing"! Could you offer some more constructive advice? I could use the help.

Thanks
