"Yesterday"

(not the beatles tune, this is an original)

Not Bad!!! Drums were compressed just right, guitars sound great. There seems to be a some mud in the low-end (not much) and I Didn't really like the long ending of the song. But overall Good Job.

thanks flip!

this features a taylor 414 for acoustics, a carvin dc200k for electrics, thru a mesa boogie mark2b into a roland 1x12 closed back cab with greenback, close miced with a 57

bass is a carvin lb70 thru a sansamp, and split to the boogie rig, blended.

keys are a casiotone, driven thru the boogie rig. hard. LOL

drums by brent dacus

Nice job, the groove really takes off (movin) in a few spots in a good way. All the instruments sound good. Nice playin. Overall very cool. Where's Powderville ? is that a real place ? Lol.

Where's Powderville ?

Back bowl at Vail.

Hey, this is a cool song. I agree with flip about the low end build up. Maybe separate out the kick and bass a little more. Other than that, great arrangement, good groove, song moves through its paces. Normally I might say bring the vocals up a little, but I like this one set back the way it is.

thanks for sharing.

Great electric tones.
Terrific blend on the bass - it is the BEST way.
I wouldn't say there was a build up in the bottom just a little defining EQ for the bass drum is needed.
Terrific work - AS USUAL!
the vocal melody gives this a Yes-ish feel - prog is good though!
The solo rocks along beautifully. Lots of sustained notes - makes me happy.

thanks for checking it out......appreciate.
powderville, is salt lake city.
or more appropriately exact, the top of little and big cottonwood canyons (alta, and brighton)

chili
vail. that'll do too.
LOL
the low end... that was a problem, i more or less created for myself, because i told myself i was going to try to keep the original kick drum sound as close to what was given to me by the drummer...
so i did not carve out much.
his kick, is really more of a jazz set, than rock, so it wasn't eq'd the way i would normally chose a kick sound.....
and so i mixed the bass around that.

thanks for the kind words.....
yes, i hear that from time to time......
maybe it's the pitch of my voice sometimes, i don't know really....
solo was fun..... that was one of those 'hit the red button and go' kind of deals.
i did several, and chose the one that had that vibe.
thanks for listening.

another bump, has occurred.

it just occurred to me, that even though there had been a previous instance of a bump, the fact that the bump was noticed by quite a few folks (many more views occurred after the previous bump) but not reviewed, commented, or totally lambasted by at least one of the post-bump viewers, that i should probably bump it again.
yes?

LOL
