Alright, it's a song of Relient K's.. and I think my little clip sounds pretty good.. for a beginner.. probably the best sounding clip I've produced so far. Anyway.. please comment and give advice to help a man out.
There is one problem with it.. on the vocals there is a hiss every now and then on s's and f's.. ya know..

is it supposed to be ony a few seconds long?

its a cool melody but the pitch is off in the harmonies.

Yeah it is.. I was just experimenting and did a very short section of the song. I realize the harmonies are off.. I have no clue what I'm doing in that area! I tried though haha.

please offer help or advice if you feel led to! I need it! e.g. the quality of the recording.. anything. thanks so much

Pretty cool voice and melody, this can be a great tune.
Thanks for replying RAMI. I appreciate it greatly.. what do you think about the quality? Any tips?

The secong recording was much better. There still seems to be a delayed vocal that is off. For the little we can hear, I would change the distorted guitar to be less distorted and more of a crunch. I think it clashes with the vocals too much the way it is. Drums and Bass would be good to help fill the mix up. This is a great start though.

The flanger on the guitar is gross and makes it very cheesy sounding. The vocals sound good besides they arent tight enough for me. Everything isn't tight and the dnyamics aren't perfect louder and softerr when it shouldnt. What kinda mic did you use on your vocals? dynamic or condensor? Its a very nice start though keep at it and you'll get really good and learn the tricks.

Um.. there shouldn't have been a flanger on the guitar. : Well my friend was actually playing when we recorded that distorted guitar. Maybe the flanger was on by mistake. I don't remember.

I used an SM57 for the vocals. It's all I have now. I'm planning on getting me an AKG Perception 200 soon (condensor).

And, how do you get more of a crunch sound than distortion? I have a Behringer LX1200H amp with a cabinet.. maybe I don't have the right equipment to get that sound.

Thanks guys

Try going with a more British Overdrive sound. In actuality, it would end up being less distortion. I think it would complement the vocals better.

Alright. Thanks.. I'll experiment with it. Maybe I'll get to recording the whole song. Who knows. :P
