Well, I just got a SP C1 through a buddy who is in the US right now. I got it from MacMidiMusic.com at $199 (which I thought was a great bargain, but no one here seems to make a fuss about it... 
)
Anyway, the mic has finally reach my friend in Arizona (after FEDEX screw up and sent it to TEXAS!
)
My friend is also a home recording composer and has a Oktava MK319 as his vocal mic... and this is what he said after testing out the C1 for me....
"at first .. looking at the pic .. I thought it is small ... but when I saw the real thing .. it is really big man !!! .. bigger than my Oktava ..
I think they both sound identical .. if I haven't got Oktava.. sure I will get C-1 .. coz it is so much good looking !! .. silver .and comes with hard case !!!!
frankly speaking .. I just can't get any difference between this 2 mic in the sense of their sounds .. maybe my recording quality just can't do the judgement .. but I would say both mic also sounds terrific!!! "
anyway, I am looking forward to get this baby in one month time.
