Yamaha Vs. SoundCraft

I am going to be buying a small compact mixer for my home studio and I have two good options available to me.
One is a Yamaha MG124C, and the other is a SoundCraft EMP8.

Both have the options that i would like in a mixer but I don't know which one is the better quality and best bang for your buck.

Does anyone have any opinions about either or?? How good are the mic pres in each mixer? Etc.

price is a good decision maker if the two are equal in your opinion.

Yamaha MG10/2 was recommended to me years ago from the gang here, and that mixer is still working great without even one issue...and its been used a lot and abused. Amazing.
