Hi im new here and fairly new to home recording. I hope someone can help with a small problem im having.

Just got a P90 for Chrimbo and its great, top class piano with beautifully weighted keys. Anyway im having a small problem when connected to my JV1010. All the sounds work great bar the drums. I have tried everything to get the P90 to recognise them but nought happens. Im a newb so come on what am i doing wrong?

Any help would be great thanks.

I'm a total midi moron but I do know that drums use MIDI channel 10. I had trouble connecting two keyboards up for this purpose once and I just had to change the channels both to 10 when using percussion.

Doh!!!

DOH!!!!

Thanks its been a while since i messed around with MIDI and as soon as i read your post i went DOH!!!! of cause.....thanks mate.

That's cool ... MIDI is a minefield and as I say I am a bit of a remedial with it!! Have fun now ... those Yamaha pianos are really nice, the P120 is my favourite stage piano at the moment!
