Alright, I think I may have done a thread like this before, but I don't remembe if I did it here or not so here it goes. I got a Yamaha O1V and I'm not very good at hooking stuff up. I have a Digi 001 with Pro Tools Le. Right now I have the 1 set of direct outs (one left one right) and the "omni outs" (which is also only a left and right coming out) hooked up to the inputs on my Digi interface. This only allows me to use 2 channels of stereo. Since it has 8 channels I don't think this is the best use of my mixer. So What exactly do I need to do to utilize all my outs, and what do I need to do to hook up the returns from the 001 back to the board so I can monitor those, and set up a cue mix when I need one? I know how to use the O1v (at least enough right now for what I need it for, and I'm learning learning learning) but I just don't have a clue how to hook anything up. Thanks a lot.

This is not so complicated, you just take all teh inputs in your yamaha and just connect your main out to Digi main (L/R) in. Then come from Digi main out to a pair of aux in (1,2) of yamaha. Use the aux buttons on your left in the fader mode, to control teh signal from your digi (playback) You have to pair the aux channels. Now connect your monitors to your control out and your headphones to your headphones out with a headphone amp, you are set. You can also use the adat option to connect DIGI and O1V with just two Adat light pipes (8 channles per cable) if you have that options. Hopefully this helps

Thanks. So if I just put the main outs of the Yamaha to the main outs of the digi, how do I independantly control each channel of the mixer? I tried doing this setup when I first got it, and when I turned up the mic I had plugged into the first channel it turned up the mic level for both mics I had plugged into the board.
