I used my 12/4 for about a year before I bought my tube gear. It worked quite nice. It's relatively quiet, transparent and puts out a strong signal. It works best if you use the group outputs and set your select switches and pan controls appropiately. I had someone tell me it works as good as the Mackies. I still use it for certain applications. I get a good sound for my Rode NTV by going Mic>12/4>RNC comp.(as a limiter) Good luck...
