YAMAHA MG24 Insert as direct out question

Hi people, first thread on this forum, thank you for helping me along my life...

My question is simple, i just need to know if using my insert as direct out on yamaha mg 24 i have the signal with pré or post eq.

i am buying this desk and this information is very important..

On the block diagram in the Yamaha manual, the Insert jack is shown as post EQ. You can find the manual HERE if you want to check for yourself or do some more reading.

Isn't that kind of rare for an Insert Jack to be post-EQ? I can understand a Direct Out being post-EQ, but an Insert Jack? I thought the Insert Jack typically followed only the preamp circuit and maybe the Low Cut and Pad switches. I see it in the block diagram, too, but it just seems strange to me.
 
Agreed. It's certainly not the most normal routing (though not unheard of).
