Im thinking about getting a Yamaha MD 8. I dont know much about it, or home recording, but I understand you can record your own songs on it. If I get it will I also have to buy alot of assesories like a processor to record songs played on an electric guitar?

thanks if you can help

If you get the MD8 you're basically made in the shade.
You'll need a mike and mike cable of couse,, a cable for your electric guitar, monitors, headphones and a whole lotta patience. Everything else is optional .

Start off simple and eventually you'll get more gear.
Have fun

I own an MD8 and am very happy with it so far. It really depends on what your going to be doing though. If your just recording yourslef playing guitar, you don't need an expensive 8 track. But let us know more what your doing. Also, check out the minidisc forum.

Yo JJGRFF:

Get the MD-8 AND START RECORDING. You will have fun and learn and amaze yourself when you finally get one right.

Now that we have an MD forum here, you will get plenty of help.

Get a good headset and you can run your sound through your home stereo and speakers for starters.

Enjoy,
