Yamaha DD-50 problems... HELP!

Ok, when I use my DD-50 for recording and live performance, the triggers on the right dont pick up well at all. I find this strange because through headphones, they work perfectly. If it matters, I always use a 1/4 cable to connect it to stuff. Any help would be greatly apprecitated
 
...sounds like you're using a mono 1/4" cable plugged into a stereo jack - you're only going to pick up one side. If you can set the output to mono, that's probably quickest. Otherwise, you'll need a stereo-to-mono adapter.
