Yamaha cdw 3200E-What software to burn?

I´ve bought a OEM version of latest Yamaha cdw 3200E ,and of course, it came without software.
The guy from the shop gave me a copy of Nero 5.5 but is not making any single complete copy,...for some reason it stops in the middle of the process and i get a error message all the time...is this a software related trouble?...,anyone out there who knows the right software for this type of machine?

Hi there. I have a Yamaha drive ( Don't quite remember the model of it now) that is fairly recent... a 16xx10x40 dealie. I use nero 5.5 without a problem... in fact, I love it.

Few things for you to check.. Under the "Performance" tab of your system properties (right click on 'my computer'), check to make sure that your cd-roms are NOT using real-mode drivers.

Under the Device manager tab, click on the + next to "cdrom" and pull up the properties on your yamana cd recorder. Make sure that disconnect is checked. Autoinsert usually needs to be checked, but with nero it doesn't matter. (Auto insert determines whether a cd will auto-run when you put it in the drive).

See if your DMA option is checked. It's best to have it checked, but if you're having problems, uncheck it and try to burn another disc.

By the way, I hope that you're using RWs for your testing


Oh, this probably goes without saying, but make sure that your computer AT LEAST matches the minimum requirements for the drive. This happened to a friend of mine... He had a ton of problems, until he took the drive back and got a slower model.

HI THERE AGNOR,Thank you very much for helping me out on this one,im gonna try all that and see what happens...
the thing is that i´ve just moved into win2000 for two days now and maybe i have to fine tune the machine from the start!...anyway my pc is a 233mhz with 256 mem,soundblaster live 1024.i think is not really a problem with Nero,everybody seems to be working fine with it,...

i think the problem must be because i don´t have the SB live1024 drivers for win2000 instaled yet,i´m downloading them now,...gees i have to do my home work first!
