Hi all,

I bought the AW4416 a couple of months ago and have been using it to record my band, I decided to record the drum tracks for 5 songs then move onto the bass guitars etc etc, problem is on the 5th song the drum track skips here and there like plays a few beats backwards or as if Ive inserted a weird sample loop. I've tried recording again and the same thing happens. The previous drum tracks have no such glitches.

I've read that some glitches can arise once the hd starts to fill up but looking at it i'm only about 6 or so Gb in so surely that shouldn't be the problem?

Any input will be gratefully received as our drummer may just kill me if he does another 'perfect' take we can't use!!

Marc.

I get glitches from time to time - more to do with the age of the drive I think, rather that the fullness of it. In particular, mark points can be problematic.

Does it ever play back correctly, or is it shot from the start? I've had tracks apparently corrupt that were OK, that I've fixed by making a copy of the "corrupted" track on another track and had it work perfectly...

Calling up another song and not saving the changes to the current song is a useful strategy if things go wrong as well.

Copying the song completely has also worked for me.

Try every thing you can is my only advice. I'm waiting for my AW4416 to die... knowing I'll have little luck finding a replacement drive of that small a size and type...
