yamaha aw16g

Hi
i'm thinking about buying a yamaha AW16G and the reviews i've read about it so far have been pretty complimentary

has anybody any advice or opinions on the unit

Which town would that be, Jeffree? I've visited that site many times as a guest and have read many threads after I purchased a Yamaha DAW. From a basic standpoint/answer my question point of view I guess it's an OK site but straight forward answers to machine related questions may better be found elsewhere. Actually, I've never signed on to ask a question at either site. The machines are fairly simple to operate. The manuals do suck tho!
 
8... honestly, yours is the first even slightly negative comment I've heard about that site in its three years of operation. A wonderful group of folks there, always quick to help, in my opinion. Ah well, to each his own.

But I agree... the manual takes some time, doesn't it? It has its own internal logic although it's not exactly a smooth read, especially the first time around. But that's why I found the small Yammie forum so helpful for 16g-specific issues. For other stuff, this BBS has been a godsend for me.

The "town" would be a figurative reference...The site in question has something most folks might recognize as personality. The AwInspire site is a clinical information dispersal portal. They are two different animals. I visit both, for two different reasons...

I'm confused as to why you even responded here...Your blatently superior intellect and lack of any worthwhile information at all to us in the neanderthal rank and file, who enjoy a little commeraderie and need questions answered, lacks the justification for your post...
