Yamaha AW16G - Recovering lost takes

Hi, all.

This weekend I had a great session, recording drums onto my Yamaha AW16G. Unfortunately, towards the end of the day it looks as though I recorded over a take that I had hoped to keep with another take (that I also want to keep!).

Is there a way to recover this lost take while keeping the one that I recorded over the top?

I am hoping that the files may be sitting in some kind of recycle bin and can be recovered. Does anyone have experience of this and any tips? Let me know if you can help. Cheers!
 
You should be able to export all your takes to .wav and then undo back to where you overwrote that track and uncover it then export that, then reimport it somewhere else.

That's what I would have done with my old AW4416, anyway. Don't have it any more but I'm assuming the 16G would be an improvement in terms of how you access stuff.
