Yamaha 2404 ?

Hi!

Any opinions out there regarding the Yamaha 2404 console? Anyone have any feelings about the 2404 vs. Hill Audio Soundmix (24x4x2), Allen and Heath Mix Wizard 16:2, Soundcraft FX16 or Soundcraft M12??? FYI my console budget is $1000 max, $700 preferred.

I think any of those other consoles is going to sound much better than that 2404 will!

Save your pennies and buy a Soundcraft Ghost. You will not be needing another console for a long time to come if you own a Ghost. You can probably buy one for about $3000 right now used (possibly with meter bridge).

Anyway, out of the one's you listed, that MixWizard is probably the most usable in a studio setup.
