Ok maybe I'm not doing something right or I'm blind but I can't seem to find this cable that I need.

I need a Y cable that accepts a 1/8" stereo and goes to 2 1/4" mono outputs.

Today's my birthday and I'm getting some binaural mics and I need this cable to hook them into my preamp.

I checked Radio Shack's website and went through all the Y cables on there but didn't see it. And I already know Wal-Mart doesn't have it.

Which connectors do you need at all ends (male/female)?

You might have to use a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter or vise versa.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Another question.

The DMP3 has XLR inputs for mics. I should probably use those instead of the 1/4" direct ins right? I don't know why I didn't think of that before.

I think it's gonna be hard to find 1/8" stereo female to 2 XLR males. :(

I'm confused.

Thanks benny but those have a 1/8" male. :( I need a female because it will be accepting a 1/8" stereo input.

I'm also trying to find something at radio shack because I wanna go pick it up today. BUt if I can't then I'll have to order it.

I'm not sure how to interface those mics with your mic preamp. I don't think it's as simple as having the right connectors. Mshilarious would be a good guy to ask about this.

the microphone link you posted said this:
Note: If your recorder does not provide a bias voltage or if you want to feed your recorders line inputs to avoid overloading your recorder's mic pre-amplifier, you can use one of our Battery Modules (check out our Battery-Module Section).

so is the Battery Module putting out line level? If so...you can just plug straight into the line level inputs on a mixer or interface, yes?

I'm not sure if it's line level or not.

I e-mailed them already and they said I would be able to hook them into my DMP3.

Would I be able to hook the outputs to the 1/4" direct ins? Or would I have to use the XLR inputs? I'm not looking for the absolute best sound quality I just want to get it working.

I also like the idea of being able to control the level with the preamp.
