I saw him perform with Johnny H. & the Prisoners of Swing (John Haas, timpanist). Very cool.
Bob Becker is best known as a member of the percussion group Nexus. Also one of the greatest xylo (and percussion in general) players around. http://www.nexuspercussion.com/
Seen them a couple times. They have a great album, Ragtime, recorded in the 70s Direct to Disc. You can guess what type of instruments it features.
These guys are generally more known in the "academic" percussion fields I guess you could say.
