It came pre-installed on my IBM ThinkPad. No pirating here.

Ok, yeah, in your case and in most cases with prebuilt PC's, XP already comes authorized and ready to go BUT if/when you ever decide to clean things up and resinstall you will need to re-authorize your copy of XP.

So, make sure you know where your licence # is should you ever need to do so.

And dont authorize it. Just do a search, there are som common utilities that disable that whole authorization nonsense
