Hi everyone,
I am getting my upgrade to cubase SX, and noticed it need to run
on an OS of either Win2K, or XP.

My question is first which is better for my daw, of these 2?

And if it's XP, which version to choose? I saw an upgrade for $99 for the home version of XP, but the "Pro" version was $199.

Thanks,
Sponge Bob

You can get the WinXP Home Upgrade for $59 after rebate from Amazon.com, so I'd say that's the way to go. The Pro version doesn't offer anything extra that's relevant to recording (or any other use at home, if you ask me). The performance difference between XP and 2k for recording purposes is probably negligible (if there is any at all).

XP pro only really offers an advantage for recording if you are running multiple processors. XP home will do just fine for most people.
