XP, Delta 44, Logic, Maximum PROBLEM

Man am I confused!:confused:

Ok, so I got my new computer today.

I have XP and a Pentium IV.

I installed the soundcard of the 44 and then the new driver off the internet. I didn't bother intalling the driver that came with the CD.

Every thing is working good so far.

Then I install Logic 4.8 that came with the Delta 44. Everything still good.

Then I install Gigastudio, still good... It said I should change both hard drives to the DMA format instead of PIO for Gigastudio; I didn't to that yet, what is DMA anywayz??

Ok then I install Maximum version 090101. Here's where the trouble starts. I install it, then install Antares Mic Moderlator(sp?) and reboot but now my computer will NOT SIGN ON!!

It starts up a little slower then usuall and it gets up to were it asks for the user to sign in (talking about XP), but when I click on my name(I.D.) it does NOT sign on!!

What's going On??

I can't even get into the OS any more. grrrrr..

Please help me out! Work through this with me!

When you say it doesn't sign in or log in what actually happens?

It could be a problem that after you installed the new software eg.antares and so forth there was a conflict with something else like other software or hardware.

You should try and get into safe mode and uninstall the new software. Then reboot. If it reboots succesfully this will tell you whether it's the new software that's the problem

I get on the sign-in screen then press my name and the computer says it's working but it stays on the same screen.

I tried to get into safe-mode but the same thing happens!

I'm about to explod into a narcissistic rage, beware!

Problem solved!

Ok I get home from work, post my last reply^, then I turn on my computer and behold!, I finally signed on and removed the Antares Mic modulator and everything is working fine again!

Whooohooooooooooo!! :D :D :) :D :D
