I use a xp-80 as a master controller w/Cakewalk ProAudio which works great, but there's a couple of things I'm missing with regards to the xp-80's internal sequencer. Hope someone can help me out.
1. With my Ensoniq keyboards you program individual sequences that can then be arranged into a song in song mode.
Despite reading the Roland manual many times, I'm still not sure how this works on the xp. I can sequence a 'pattern' no problem, but what is the process for linking patterns together to create a song?
2. Is it possible to copy an entire pattern to another pattern location for further editing? How is this done?
3. I can't delete a track unless I use the undo/redo button. What am I missing?
