WTB: Presonus Firepod and Rode NTK

I'm looking for a Presonus Firepod in new or like new condition. They're selling pretty regularly on ebay for $600 with free shipping and an SM-57. If I don't find a better deal I'm just going to get it there, but I thought I'd see if anyone has it available for sale here. Also, if anyone has a Rode NTK they don't want, send me an asking price.

i talked the guy at guitar center down to 550 on the firepod. you can probably do the same if you wanted...

it's better than paying $50 more from musiciansfriend....if someone was going to do that.
 
I'd rather pay the extra $50 if I can get it from a smaller dealer (like those listing on ebay). Plus it comes with an sm-57...which I don't need but could certainly use or sell.

Anyways, without furthering the discussion of whether or not to buy from large businesses, if anyone can beat that ebay price please let me know.

just to let you know, I just received my firepod from Musicians Friend, brand new, for $500. Just gotta know how to talk to them :) And it works flawlessly. Good luck!
 
I got one from sweetwater for $500 a while back, too. If you call they'll deal. Musicians Friend was running that deal where you got a firepod, an AT2020 mic, and an external 80 gig hard drive for $600 - that was a deal, too - I guess they're not doing that anymore.
 
Did that $500 include shipping? If so that sounds like a pretty good deal.

no, it didn't. I also picked up some other stuff with it - not much - about $50 worth of other crap. If you call sweetwater, they'll give you a "personal" sales rep that stays with you for at least however long that person is employed, and on your first purchase they'll give you 10% off - which comes out to $60 on the Firepod. If you want to pick up a few more things - like a cheaper mic or something, they'll probably come down more.
 
Mine was $500 and came with free shipping. There was another place that did it for $540 +Free shipping + sm57. Another with free sm58 or senheiser headphones.
