My band is outgrowing our old equipment, and I desperately need a solid live board with at least 16 xlr inputs, 4 or more aux/monitor options, and tape outs.....we want to start taping every show. We use powered speakers, so I obviously don't need a powered mixer....

I have a good condition Sountracs Topaz 24X8 I'd be willing to trade for something that is more roadworthy...........

I have a decent Peavey board that is 16 channels. The only issue is that one of the channels (I believe channel 5) has a broken XLR input, but the 1/4" input works fine, so it's still good for direct bass or what have you.

It has several routing options for monitoring and insert and effect sends/returns for each channel. The inserts can be used as direct outs for your tape machine, but it is not a recording mixer, so you can't monitor the feed from the tape machine unless you rewire it. This said, I have used it for studio recording in a pinch, and it can be done. I'll see if I can find the actual recording which was recorded, overdubbed, and mixed on this board.

Check out the manual for the 16 channel Peavey MDII if you want to take a closer look at it. It's available on the Peavey website. I'd post the link here, but I can't get a direct link to it because of the way the frames function on their website.

If you're interested, PM me and you can have it for $100 + shipping, or you can just pick it up if you're anywhere near Boston.

Best wishes,
-MD
