Anyone happen to have a 4 channel (or more) headphone amp laying around? I was talking to someone here about one not too long ago but I am a space case and it got away from me. PM me if you know anything.

Check out any Behringer Powerplay headphone amp on eBay. Usually about $35 - $45. I've had one for about 4 years with no problems. It's actually 4 amps with a common input. Each amp has 3 headphone outputs. Most I've ever driven at one time was 8 with no problems. Whatever you do, don't buy any of the Behringer headphones. They're a total piece of crap. You'll easily blow them with a headphone amp as they'll only handle 100 milliwatts. 2 pair lasted exactly 2 sessions. The best bang for the buck (I'm cheap) is the Sony MDR-V150. Mind you I'm not talking about mixdown which you shouldn't be using headphones then anyhow. Just cans for the band. You can find these anywhere or get them from Musicians Friend for $15. They'll handle 500 milliwatts which really helps on the low end. Don't expect a lot of isolation. You'll pay bucks for that.

That IS one product Behringer makes that seems to be a great value. I own a couple of their Headphone Amps, and they all work great. Just pick one up on ebay cheap.

Peace

I'm waiting on delivery of one of these:

I picked up an Alto from my local shop. I was going to get a behringer, but they didn't have any. The Alto is not very loud and very distorted, granted I am running Moreme's and it is recomended that the headphones run should be rated over 100ohms for this unit.

Bluebear recomends the Oz, and that's good enough for me. I found it on e-bay for $110 from a really cool seller! Score!

I have done some research around, and I found that for best results with low resistance headphones, the Behringer 4700 is the best option. This recomendation is in a couple of threads on this site.

On a similar subject since it was mentioned. Anyone know any good studio headphones that off a reasonable amount of isolation at a reasonable price? Not necessarily looking for top of the line, but REASONABLE would be good.

senheiser hd 280...run ya about $100.00 but really good h.p's for the price.

Can't get cheaper isolation than the moreme's, don't sound the greatest, I just got a few pairs so I haven't tested them in a real session yet. But, they seem to not bleed much, and they are cheap.
