I have just recently experienced the same problem as Maddrummer. I recorded 7 audio tracks (no midi) at the same time into a new project, but when I look at them in tracks view, some audio pictures are missing and others are present. I tried wiping out my picture cache to let Cakewalk redraw them, but it redrew them the same (i.e. with some missing). This is more than just minor quirk since I also can't see the tracks in audio view, making it pretty tough to draw volume envelopes.
An additional weirdness is that if I use the "increase audio 3 db" feature, or the "decrease" one, the picture instantaneously appears! I can actually do an increase, followed by a decrease, and the picture is still there. But, if I run an increase or decrease db, then hit undo, the picture is wiped out again.
I've tried copying and pasting all the tracks into a new project, and the same tracks are either drawn or blank. I can see that my picture cache is only contains around 7 meg of WOV files, with a total allowable cache of 20 meg, so I don't think the cache size is a problem.
Lastly, I just defragged my 2 disks. It had no effect. Both disks have lots of space.
So, I am fresh out of ideas except that this is just some bug. Anyone else have any thoughts? Maddrummer, ever figure this out?
