writing a peice in powertab and then transporting it into Cubase

is it possible? i know powertabs exports songs as a midi format and then could I open this recording in Cubase and make it sound like a synth or piano? if so how would I go about doing this? im sorry for such a new guy question I just started. also my english isnt very good so sorry for that too. any help would be greatly appreciated!

yes, it's possible and very easy.

export power tabs file to midi.

open sequencer software and import midi file.

click the "patch" button on the track/channel you want to change.

a small menu will appear allowing you to designate one of the 127 midi
instruments in your instrument definition file (general midi), choose say "church organ".

play your file, you should now have church organ sounds on the individual track/channel you selected.
