well its not that great but it dragged you in here , .... theres this really crap annoying song on the radio at the moment ... its a dance tune , talking about making sandwiches..anyway i hate it , but i was just listening to it on the radio and i noticed something really cool about it .. I was listening through my Alesis monitor 1's there spaced about 2m apart and about the same distance from me .. Now its a very simple tune , yet theres this clap that goes with the snare .. i may really be flipping out here , but it seemed to be behind me , while the snare was more center .. This may sound weird , but i was wondering if anyone knows of a way to get an intrument that far panned... or is this a simple process i have over looked .. anyway it sounded different and i thought it was effective... cheers all

There are all kinds of spatial proccessing 3-D'alizers out there these days... Plug ins, rack mounts, etc... I dont know how they work, other than it involves a special kind of delay.
Then again, your sound might just be a room/speaker/mix anomaly that only occurs within a particular song... I have had that happen... I think that I hear gunfire outside my front door, only to discover that is a floor tom in the mix that appears to be panned 50 feet to the right rear.
It is weird.
