I was just in London and in one of the shops on Denmark Street there was a very old 2-track Studer that used to be in Abbey Road as a mastering deck. I don't think it was even for sale but I gawked over that for a long time.

nettech,

I have the 807 which is not too far off compared to this one, but you need to know which configuration is being sold; they made lots of variations (Hi-Speed, Lo-Speed, many track configurations, timecode option....)
This one is a 2-track with no timecode, but what are the speeds and how well does it run?
If the 2 'eggcup' aluminum hubs are included, they alone will run you anywhere from $150-200 if bought alone.

That said, those machines are kings. Love mine dearly; well worth the money.

Best,
C.

I got a B67 for free, sounds great. Got a Telefunken M10 for free as well. But those days have ended for good. BTW, I got a Telefunken M15A 2"16 track for free as well but I've sold this one because I needed the money. I wish I'd not done this, mucho regrets because the M15A is one of the best sounding machines ever. Sold it for €2000 some four years ago to David Manley.

A80's are offered for €1250-1500 in the Netherlands these days.
