Would you recommend these amps my Monitors??

so i have a Behringer B2030P http://www.behringer.com/B2030P/index.cfm?lang=eng and i am looking to get some amps for it. let me add i am not too sure about how the specs work as i am new to home recording....i have seen these Alpine car amps for a good price http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/product.php?model=MRP-F250 not sure if i can use car amps for a studio but excuse my lack of knowledge here...pls i need some advice as to whther this is a good combination...pls let me know..if not...i can do with some suggestion for amps.....the specs i can search for and things of that such

No, you aren't going to want an automotive amplifier running your monitors.

There are tons (literally) of "extremely budget-friendly" amps at the normal outlets -- Behringer, Alesis, Samson, Art... If you want to step up the game considerably, you can look for used amps -- Bryston, Rotel (the high-current lines), Hafler.
 
Lets say that I already have (I do) a nice clean(VERY low ripple) 12V 20A power supply, Two older Phoenix gold amps (M25 & M50 - transparent and sweet sound) and a nice old active xover. What would be the down side from using this as opposed to buying purpose built monitor amps?
 
check the output specifications on your golds, and compare that to the output specs of a samson/alesis/whatever,

i don't know if there's a difference, but if there is, that's the way to find it.



i got an alesis ra100 (they do an ra150) for like,£80.

cheap and cheerful. two ins, two outs two volumes and an on/off,,

but that's what you want isn't it?
