Would Bass Traps Work in...?

This is my first post. How do bass traps work? Would they work in a room with a low ceiling with ceiling tiles? What would you suggest for slightly rattling ceiling tiles (if you have the volume low enough you can hear them)? Would some sort of tape around the edges of the tracks work?

The quick and dirty fix it to climb up and put a couple of books or similar weighted objects on top of them. Or tape as you suggested, or foam rubber strips from Home Depot. Why not try it?

Also, if you need more sound proofing in the ceiling - there is actually a product sold commercially that is just a standard ceiling tile with sheet rock glued to the back, it replaces the stock tile.

You could get sheet rock and construction adhesive and make your own for a LOT less... Steve
