bigwillz24. Before I load this up was it recorded at a specific bpm/tempo?
Like to set that before dumping the tracks in.

i got it clocked at 128 BPM, or 64 BPM, whatever it is...
 
i wouldn't mind giving this a try.....i have never downloaded tracks from some one eles yet so could anyone get me started? i went ahead and downloaded the files posted and they are RAR files...what do i need to do to use them?

You need an extracter like Winrar.

thanks...i have it loaded into reaper now and gave it a listen...a song about cheatin:D nice topic.. the tracks seem to be recorded well, and the performance also sounds good too! this should be intresting,,,thanks for the post!

ok everyone...i'm already ready already.


i DL'ed the rar as soon as it was up, worked on it for a few solid hours, burned a test CD and listened to it in the car on the way to a new years party. so now i'm home, and ready to upload it and see what you guys think.

this is just using the original tracks and arrangement (with slight changes to the arrangement). and i did it without using any reverb at all. i gotta say i forgot how much fun it is to mix hip-hop stuff. i really like working with the layered vocal tracks and stuff, theres so much you can do with it. anyway, let me know what you guys think. i'll probably put up another version one of these days with more original stuff.



oh and it might sound a bit hyped in the high end, i'm not too sure. my ears are still a little plugged as i've been recovering from an ear infection. so theres no guarantees on this mix.

jesus!....i messed with this for almost 4 hours tonight and came no wheres even close to as good sounding vox as you got dude! nice work.....and i hate you:D :rolleyes:
 
heres my first attempt and more than likely the only, cuz ZED stole all my ideas :)

my mix will be the standard on what not to do in case anyone is having doubts about thiers :D

BTW there is a pause in the begining due to the fact that i didn't mess with the structure to the tracks yet.
 
mine will be finished sometime this week, I'm gonna take it to the studio & mix it there, better equipment for me to work on there ;)
 
So far, I have the music sounding good....but the vocals aren't there yet... :o

Sounds nice Perdi!

I am now REALLY looking forward to mixing this - this was my first listen to the song - lotsa potential there!
