Sorry for not finishing it. I might be able to take a peek during this day
If you are recording on a PC you should really get a sequencer. Then you can record with a clicktrack at a specific tempo. Makes it a whole lot easier for us Midi Freaks.

any recommendations? don't have too much to spend, but I'd be interested because I may need to do more work in the future.

There are several. Big ones is Cubase (my choise), Sonar, Logic (Mac only now in latest versions) and ProTools (a solution with hardware; much used in studios. Strong on recording, a tad weaker on Midi; at least the previous versions. Allthough I think there is a 6.7 version out now promised to be stronger on Midi)
.
Abelton Live is great I think. I have a demo of Abelton Live. You should be able to get a trial version of Abelton Live I think.

There are also several smaller ones. Just do a google.com search for
sequencer midi download trial free
or something similar

It aint going to well with me and those strings. Too busy with a tune of my own that needs to be ready till tuesday. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I used a Studio Projects B1 and an Aardvark Direct Pro 24/96... at 3 AM (the vocals are a terrible performance and my articulation was off). It's ok Emusic, hopefully before January? I've got to get this thing finished, if not, I can just layer it with various vocal harmonies.
