Would a tube screamer work the same with a hybrid?

I don't know, but you can buy mine...it's like new...

well first lets see what people have to say about it and working good with a hybrid. Why dont you want it anyways?

Hybrid amps, as far as I'm concerned are nothing more than a solid state amp with a single preamp tube, not really sure you're getting much distortion from the tube in a hybrid. I had an AVT for a good while and compared to my Mesa it just sounded like a solid state amp.

When you say will it make a hybrid sound the same, what do you mean?
In front of a tube amp, it sounds like a overdriven tube amp. In front of a solid state amp, it will sound like an overdriven solid state amp.

If you're just looking to boost the level a little and get a little more sustain or gain happening for leads then yeah, it will work. Lots of folks do that. It's still going to sound like your amp though.
