I don't know if I'd call it ugly . . . but the Blue Ball sure does look pretty damn stupid.

Some of the old spring mounted carbons fit the ugly catagory, but some of them look pretty cool too.

I've seen that one before. That's an Octava ribbon isn't it?

I kind of like the way the old NT-1 looks. Maybe I'm weird. I really don't like the way the big, black Oktavas (219, 319, the current tube and ribbon models) look.

No one else hates the c3000? The grill is ugly, the shockmount is ugly, the design is bad. Ughh. It gives me the shudders just visualizing it.

I'd of picked some of the old '70s dynamics. Funky grills and silver bodies. Shure's got the SM 59 that looks like a set of funky maracas...

And something I don't like to admit: I'm visually fearful of measurement mics. They look way too much like the endoscopic alien anal probes described by all the abductees in The Globe magazine...

If it was 3 feet tall, it would be the perfect humidifier for my closet o cigars.
