The snare sounds a little dry and/or compressed. That's all I got, great tonal capture overall.

thanks for listening and commenting MJB.......
appreciate it.

yes, i want the snare bone dry.

this, of course, after i tried every combination of reverb and delay on it i could find!!

LOL

none of that worked with this mix.
any verb at all, gave it a sort of 80's vibe,
which is not what i was going for.

when i remix this,
i MAY try a parallel snare mix with heavy limiting,
and see what the does to give the snare some more weight.

david lee roth kinda thing going on, especially during the spoken parts! lol. nice work, fantastic playing. i could do without the tambourine, but that's totally irrelevant. nothing really stood out mixwise. this all you, or band?

Sounds pretty rockin to me! Van Halen definitely comes to mind.

Snare sounds weak to me.

I can't hear anything else that needs much work though. Nice one!

roth, eh?!
heheh,
i like his one quote:

"The problem with self-improvement is knowing when to quit."
David Lee Roth

LOL, that one gets me every time.

maybe the tambourine gets nixed in the new mix,
maybe just a level or pan treatment

thanks for the comments

hehe, first roth, then van halen!
definitely not what i was going for!!
but hey, at least it sounds like Something.
LOL.......
snare weak, check.

i think the next version of this is going to feature the drums,
meaning,
all of it brought forward,
maybe a copy of the drums put thru a limiter and bring that up a bit as parallel processing.....
i still like em dry, tho.

putting any verb on them just makes them sound like............ van halen.

LOL again!
