Sounds nice. I like the banjo a lot. That's what I need...some banjo. :D I would pan the guitars farther apart in the intro...but that's preference. Awww this is buffering badly. I've got the majority of it, and it sounds great. I want to hear just a touch more of that banjo here and there, but not necessarily throughout. Buffering stopped.
We have a local group here called the Jerks of Grass that I love a lot. Sounds like you might too. Good job.
 
really refreshing. The wife and I enjoyed very much. I like the mix of the instruments, nothing poking out a you. would like to hear more of you guys.

Top song... I've always liked banjo. So southern I can almost taste the fried chicken. My only comment is that the vocal harmonies are too loud, especially the first time they come in around 30sec gave me quite a fright...by the end of the song however the level it a lot softer.. maybe reverse this trend ?

Great sound... what gear you using ?

cool vibe to it... is that a 12 string I here there or 6 string with alot of chorus... didn't like the sound of that too much but that's prefference... it felt like at some point hi-hat and snare should make an appearance... do you get snow in Virginia :D ...

Fed, 6 string, two tracks, a small amount of effect, haven't really got into drums much, am thinking about some percussion things, and it does snow here. Thanks for listening.

dres, thanks chicken eater, he he he he, new mic, and I don't really sing often, placement will be a key, cause I don't project like a real singer would. Martin HD28--v67--art mp pre--788 recorder. Use some of the effects on the 788, which is fairly new to me also.

Toki987, I didn't say your wife could listen, he he he he he, fun huh. My wife loves to listen to you folks. It more than likely comes from all the time she listens to my stuff, you know, after hearing a tune over and over while I screw around with it, he he he he he, and us guys is me on this tune.

SLuiCe, my chops on the banjo are so poor that I kept it low this time around. I don't pull it out very often, even though I should. You need to get one. I'm sure I'd like the Jerks. Thanks.

Now a question back. Why does some tunes buffer like that and some don't? Is it in the settings of the player or recoder on the computer? I listen to some and there's no buffering, and then the next tune will buffer like hell.

buffering

I think the buffering is more on NWR's side. If they're getting slammed, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if Waldo jumps out of the clear blue sky to answer that one. It's like he has radar and knows when we're talking about the site :D
 
Yes! This one's a keeper. I have absolutely no criticisms. This is one of my favorite tunes I've heard here so far. I think the production style perfectly suits the tune. You really feel like you're in someone's living room, listening to them play a few feet away. Very nice. Reminds me quite a bit of John Prine, who's one of my faves.

Very cool dtb. Don't hear that type of instrumentation in the clinic often.


I found the vocals maybe a touch loud, but outside that the song conveyed very nicely.

As for the buffering, it started to break up for me, so I just rewound it 20 seconds and let it keep playing. Was all caught up by the time the song finished. Not sure if this is what people are meaning.

Wait till I get some of the shit from tonite on here. We played with the 1 new mic. That's fiddle, guitar, mando, bass, and all singing on this mic. Now I know it's a low ball mic, but for us, damn, it's different.
