i want to wire my tele live,direct..(bypassing volume and tone controls) to 2 switches...(on and off for each pickup)...
can't find schematics and trial and error just ain't workin' ...anyone have a clue????

You should be able to pull the pots out and replace them with switches.

A tele has a three way pickup selector doesn't it? You don't need two switches to turn each pick up on and off... your pick up selector already does that... to bypass your volume and tone it's simply a case of running a piece of shielded cable from your pickup selector to your jack... do you know what wires go where on your pickup selector?

....or even easier than that, turn the metal plate that holds the pots over. You will see the pots and there will be two wires connected to each pot plus a grounding conductor. Remove the two insulated wires from one pot and connect them together and do the same on the other pot. Make sure you insulate the connection with electrical tape or some type of non-conductive wire connectors. This five minute procedure will bypass the volume and tone and you can use the exsisting selector switch to turn the pickups on and off.

YIKES !

Sounds like a car with no brakes. What are you going to do without a volume, or are you just trying to hear the sound of the pickups bypassed, more brightness and volume.
