Ok guys, I am in a band that has one of those lead singers that can never hear themselves and is always cranking up the gain on all his stuff (causing all sorts of nice feedback in the middle of a song). He is using a Shure wireless, not sure on the model #. I think it is a T series (sm-58). Ok our prob is that we have 3 back-up singers all using hardwired shure mics, and our voices seem to have more punch and be just plain louder than the lead guys wireless. Now here is my ? since I am the only one that knows anything (not much) about our mixer and I am the one that sets everything up, should I crank the gain on his wireless receiver and not on the mixer or do the opposite, or do both. The fader for his channel is already about 20db louder than we are but he still can't hear himself and to his defense other people have said the same thing. Should we ditch the wireless and just get him a 58 or what?. by the way we did buy him a monitor just so he could hear himself better on stage!
