Wireless Light?

Hey All!

So my studio is in my finished basement and I need to build some sort of light notification system for my family. Usually, when I record, my back is to the door (closed) and I don't hear when they're calling me to come upstairs. So I was thinking of installing some sort of wireless lighting device that they could trigger (via a switch) that would toggle a light downstairs off and on.

Has anyone done this sort of thing?

You can get a 3 circuit wireless mains on-off switch setup for about a tenner here.
I have one to power my Sony TV on and off because most mornings it has locked up.

Peeps also use them in studios to switch things like active monitors because they want to "cadence" their up and down powerings.
