windows xp pro compatability

does anyone know if theres anyway to find out if all the stuff in my computer will work with xp pro? One of the sound cards I'm using is a D-man 2044. I know sonar is ok, but I don't want to install xp pro and find out my sound cards no longer work. Any help out there?

P.S. I know I should be looking for a new sound card but, money's kinda tight right now. A Delta 1010 is next on my list. I want to get the xp pro so I can use the DXi in sonar at this point.

I just looked into this the other day. The M-Audio site shows no XP or 2000 driver downloads for the Dman card. I suspect all they have (and all they will ever have) is the latest of the MME drivers that you can get from the Windows 98 download list on their site.

That's what I'm thinkin' that means a new sound card before getting xp pro. Anyone got $800 to give away?

Dude you can get a Delta 44 for cheap or Audiophile 2496 really cheap.

Ya, I know. I'm looking for the 8 in 8 out though. I guess I could get one of the other cards for know. The delta 44 would be the equivilent for what I have know, and then when I get the $600 for the 1010 I'll be all set.
