I passed on my audiophile to a buddy and he's using win98se.
I cant remember if you can route the CD audio wireless to the AP out. I know you can in XP. But is it possible in 98 ?
The system sounds are coming thru fine.

I am using AP2496 with Win98se.

yes, you can play the CD audio digitally via Window Media Player or others.

Great....is there a check box...or what settings need to take place ?
I know with XP I can go to device manager>CD drive>properties and check box for enable digital audio for this cd device. Is it the same in 98

hmm, I can't recall checkbox to enable... ( I'm in the office now)... but so long as your CD player software has this feature, then you can play them digitally.

note, not all CD player software can play CD digitally.... like Windows Media Player, only the newer versions have this feature.

Alright, I will pass it along and see what he comes up with. He just did a reformat and fresh install so i'll tell em to download the current version of media player cause the CD is standard 52x lite-on..no software Im sure...just drivers.
Thanks Dude
