Guys, I just ordered my hardware for my next build:
ASUS Z8NA-D6C Server MOBO....dual CPU!
(2) Intel i7-950 Quad Core Processors
24GB DDR3 1333 RAM
ASUS Radeon HD4870 Dual HDMI Video card
OCZ Agility Internal Solid State Drive

I will be using the SSD drive as my OS drive, adding it to my 2 Raptors in RAID for my project working drive, and an external 1TB for storage.

Sound is going to be handled by my M-Audio Project Mix I/O, and my Delta 1010LT for my line level equipment.

I have been running Sonar 6PE on an XP Pro-32bit machine.

Now the $6,000,000 Question:

I have SONAR 7PE. Should I load Win7-64 and use the Sonar 7, or buy the 8.5, or load XP-64 & use Sonar 7?

I'll definitely let you know when I get it going how it goes.

Man, what is it with Sonar users and hijacking other peoples' threads tonight... This should be its own thread and so I created a new one for you and moved it here.

I have sonar 8.3pe with Win7 x64. I initially had problems with the 64bit Sonar and my UAD plugs. So, I unistalled 64bit and installed the 32 bit and no problems.

I say go Win7 64 bit, get Sonar 8.5 and get the free upgrade to Sonar X.
