Win 2k Shutdown problem

I'll start by giving a little background so you can understand my problem. I've installed a dual boot with 2 versions of Win 2k; one for recording and the other for everything else. I've learned from experience that in order for my Delta 44 to work properly, I need to install Win 2K as a "Standard PC" rather than an "ACPI PC" (It clicks and pops if I don't). Well I forgot to do this for the original installation of Win 2k. After I finished installing both O/S, I updated the driver from an "ACPI PC" to a "Standard PC". This solved the clicks and pops, but now my computer won't shutdown automatically. It only shutsdown to the "It is now safe to turn off your computer" screen. I know that I have to enable "Advanced Power Management" for this to work (it shutsdown fine from the other version of w2k that i have installed), but that tab is not available under Power Options. I tried the Device Manager to see if I could enable APM that way, and it is not there either. Does anyone know how I can enable APM or get my computer to shutdown automatically?

If this is not clear let me know and I'll try again to explain it.

Thanks

I think that you give up that luxury when you go with standard PC. I have to do the same thing. On the other hand it isn't to hard to reach over and push a button. ;)

Yea I guess, but the funny thing is that it works with the other install of W2k.
