Hi folks,
I'm a studio-in-a-box guy (Tascam PortaStudio 788) who's thinking of switching to a computer-based rig.
I have an iBook g4 with 1.4 ghz processor, 1.5 gb of RAM and an external firewire 120 gb hard drive that spins at 7200 rpm, and I'm thinking of getting a Phonic Helix 24 intrface, which comes with Cubase LE. Tracks would be recorded to the hard drive, which would be dedicated to that use only.
My question is, is this a good setup for Cubase, and, if so, how many tracks can I expect to record simultaneously?
Thanks for your help.
Bill.
