So two months ago I purchased Pro Tools 7 with the M Box 2. Nice system with professional details i was looking for. Well, to make a long story short I couldnt figure out why my current computer wouldnt reconize the M Box and Pro Tools Software. HAHA i found out recently that my Junky computer can handle Pro Tools. So ive saved up more money and im ready to make a purchase. I ready on some other forums that Apple is the way to go for audio mixing and editing. SOOOO, my question to all you knowledgable dudes. Will this laptop work?

MacBook, 13-inch, White
Part Number: Z0G9
2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM - 2x2GB
160GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm

This is like a comuter that is for sale on the apple website. It comes stock with 2 gb of RAM, do i need 4GB.

Will i need a HD dedicated to Pro Tools?

Thanks for the Help!!!!

Marc

Yes that'll be good.

Get an external firewire hard drive, minimum spindle speed of 7,200RPM. Preferably with the Oxford 911 chipset.

2GB of RAM will be just fine, but 4GB will be even better. Though I'd say don't pay Apple's ridiculous price for additional ram.

just bought a 15 inch Macbook pro and im ready to get started on recording

i know i will have many questions in the future.... so for now.

THANKS A MILLION
